Picture this: innocent me, minding my business, recording myself baking a cake in my kitchen, uploading it to social media…. and suddenly, 14 million views later, I’m smack dab in the middle of a scandal. Who knew that flour and eggs were such scandalous ingredients? Welcome to the wild world of baking with big boobs.

My crime? Wearing a full covering t-shirt that was “too tight.” Little did I know that my innocent baking escapade was about to become a harassment demonstration in modesty, courtesy of the self-proclaimed guardians of Christian virtue. I would have never thought that a t-shirt could provoke such a heated debate of opinions, featuring people from all walks of life – full-grown women and men, mothers, fathers, former friends, and anyone else eager to weigh in on the great t-shirt debate.

According to the morality police, I might as well give up my hopes and dreams of getting married, becoming a mother, and living out a traditional lifestyle because my baking video was on a fast track to PornHub.

In the face of such absurdity, what do I do? Bake… again. When life gives you lemons, or in this case angry X trolls, you make blueberry lemon cake

In honor of the trolls, I decided I would put together my top favorite recipes I’ve baked. Enjoy.

Brown Butter Caramel Cake: 

Of course, being this is the cake that blew up all over social media, it’s only right to put this at #1.

The Recipe: 

For the Brown Butter:
2 cups of unsalted butter

For the Brown Butter Cake:
2 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour, leveled
1 ½ tsp of baking powder
¼ tsp of baking soda
½ tsp of salt
1 cup of granulated white sugar
½ cup of brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tbsp of vanilla
1 cup of buttermilk

For the Caramel:
9 tbsp of unsalted butter
¾ cup of brown sugar
1 cup of heavy cream
2 tsp of vanilla
¼ tsp of salt

For the Brown Buttercream Frosting:
8 oz of cream cheese
2 cups of powdered sugar, sifted

Directions:
~ To start, prepare the brown butter by melting two cups of unsalted butter in a pan over medium heat. Let it simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes until it turns golden brown and foamy.
~ Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
~ While still liquid, measure out 10 tablespoons of brown butter into a large bowl for the cake batter. Reserve the remaining brown butter in a separate bowl for the frosting.
Chill both bowls in the fridge.
BROWN BUTTER CAKE:
~ Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9×9 inch metal baking pan and line it with parchment paper. I used a round baking pan.
~ In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
~ Using an electric mixer on high speed, whip the 10 tablespoons of brown butter until fluffy and light in color.
~ Add granulated white sugar and brown sugar to the whipped brown butter. Mix for two minutes.
~ Incorporate the eggs and vanilla, mixing on medium speed until smooth.
~ Gradually add buttermilk and dry ingredients to the mixture on low speed until smooth batter forms.
~ Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
~ Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan or on a cooling rack.
CARAMEL SAUCE:
Note: I made the caramel but recommend buying store-bought caramel since I find the consistency of the store version better– you also will save time and dishes :). But it’s up to your personal preference.

~ In a saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar. Simmer over medium heat for about five minutes, stirring occasionally.
~ Reduce heat to medium-low and whisk in heavy cream. Simmer for three minutes.
~ Remove from heat, then stir in vanilla and salt.
~ Transfer the hot caramel to a small bowl and let it cool on the counter.
BROWN BUTTERCREAM FROSTING:
~ Using an electric mixer, whip the larger portion of brown butter on high speed for five to ten minutes until fluffy.
~ Add cold cream cheese and mix on medium speed until fluffy.
~ Sift in powdered sugar and mix on low speed until combined, then switch to high speed for another minute to achieve a fluffy texture.
ASSEMBLING THE CAKE:
~ Once cooled, transfer the cake to a serving plate.
~ Using a wooden stick or the back of a wooden spoon, poke holes in the cake for the caramel filling.
~ Fill the holes with caramel using a piping bag, being careful not to overflow onto the cake.
~ Frost the top of the cake with a thick layer of brown butter cream cheese frosting.

Blueberry Lemon Loaf:

There is a coffee shop in Long Island called Southdown that is my absolute favorite. Sadly I’m in DC so I can only get it when I visit home. During the summer months, they have a blueberry lemon loaf with a blueberry + lemon glaze that is amazing. I am not ashamed to admit that when I was visiting home I got it almost every day.

Since DC has nothing like it, I decided to recreate it myself. After about three different tries, I’ve crafted the perfect recipe.

The Recipe:
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp fresh lemon zest (about 2 lemons)
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour + 1 tbsp set aside for blueberries
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp kosher salt
¾ cup unsalted butter at room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 large eggs
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
¼ cup of milk
1 ½ cups fresh blueberries + a handful for topping later

Blueberry Lemon Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp milk
3 cups of blueberries
1 cup of water
½ cup of sugar
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
½ tsp of vanilla extract
1 ½ tbsp of cornstarch dissolved in 3tbsp of water

Directions:
~ Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and line all sides of a loaf pan.
~ In a small bowl combine the sugar and lemon zest.

~ Add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
Then, add the softened butter one tablespoon at a time. Mix until the mixture becomes crumbly, ensuring no lumps of butter remain visible.

~ Mix in the vanilla extract, followed by adding the eggs one at a time. Then mix in the lemon juice, followed by the milk.

~ Prepare the blueberries by removing any stems and rinsing them with water. Toss the berries with one tablespoon of flour, allowing the flour to coat each berry evenly.

~ Gently fold the flour-coated blueberries into the batter until evenly distributed.

~ Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. Top with a handful of extra berries.

~ Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean with a few moist crumbs. The loaf should also appear golden around the edges and puffed up in the center.

~ Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 45 minutes at room temperature before serving.

ICING YOUR BLUEBERRY LEMON LOAF:
~ After the loaf has cooled, prepare the icing
~ Whisk all the icing ingredients together until they reach a flue-like consistency. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more liquid. If it’s too thin, mix in an extra spoonful of sugar. Set aside
~ Next, place 3 cups of blueberries in a small saucepan. Cover the blueberries with water, then add sugar and vanilla to the saucepan.
~ Heat the mixture over medium-high heat until it reaches a low boil and the blueberries begin to break apart.
~ In a separate bowl, dissolve cornstarch. Add dissolved cornstarch to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil.
~ Reduce the heat and simmer on low for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
~ Remove the saucepan from the heat and gently stir.
~ In a separate bowl slowly mix half the icing and half the blueberry sauce together.
~ Frost over loaf and enjoy

Tiramisu: 
Every time we have a family party or a holiday, my Parina (Godmother) makes the most delicious tiramisu. I’m Sicilian, you can trust me on this one.
Tiramisu
3 large eggs
4 double espressos
½ cup granulated sugar
8 ounces mascarpone
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp cocoa
ladyfinger cookies

Directions:
~ Mix 3 egg yolks, 1 tbsp of espresso, and sugar into a large bowl. Beat for 2-3 minutes then add Mascarpone and beat 3-5 minutes until smooth.
~ In a separate bowl, combine 3 egg whites and a pinch of sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into mascarpone mixture.
~ Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the espresso mixture, turning in the liquid until soaked, about two or three times
~ Place a single layer of espresso-soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of an 8×8 pan. Cover with mascarpone, then repeat layers until you run out.
~ Spread mascarpone mixture on the final layer and top with a sprinkle of cocoa.
~ Refrigerate for at least five hours.

To all the “Christian Conservatives” + “Manosphere” out there clutching their pearls over a t-shirt and a bit of baking, get over yourselves. If you learned anything from CakeGate, hopefully, it was how to make a delicious cake. Life is too short to be offended by a pair of boobs and some flour.

There’s an unmistakable war being waged against Christianity that has escalated in recent decades and was on full display at this year’s Super Bowl, during both the game and the commercial breaks. 

In recent years, we’ve witnessed churches flying pride flags, hosting drag shows, and even some churches claiming that God is “non-binary.”

The “He Gets Us” Super Bowl ad that was aired about a week ago, was yet another example of how the world has distorted Christianity to align with a politically woke agenda.

The multi-million dollar ad portrayed what was supposed to be Jesus washing the feet of a gay man, a woman at an abortion clinic, and a BLM rioter. The ad ended with text that read, “Jesus didn’t teach hate. He washed feet.”

There is only one story in the New Testament of Jesus washing feet and it was at the Passover meal before his crucifixion. Jesus washed the feet of his Disciples–the people closest to him and the people who had been following him his entire ministry, not the Pharisees. Jesus was not washing the feet of every unbeliever and sinner he encountered. He came and died for all of us but He was a servant to those willing to be served by Him—not those who opposed Him. While that did include washing the feet of Judas, Pastor Mark Driscoll pointed out on X that: “Jesus washed Judas’ feet and still sent him to Hell.”

In short, the entire premise of the ad was that Jesus didn’t teach hate, he washed feet– and that’s it. The ad also implies Jesus was accepting of all kinds of sinful behavior– and he wasn’t. The ad only touched upon a very small aspect of Christianity. It addresses that Jesus was loving but completely disregards the part where He is also wrathful. The ad portrays Jesus as someone who came to bring peace and didn’t come to make anyone uncomfortable. That is not Biblical. Biblical Jesus came in flipping tables and standing for Truth.

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” -Matthew 10:34

Many Christians defended this advertisement, claiming that it was supposed to appeal to “secular liberals” and that “if this advertisement is able to bring someone to our side then so be it.” But, Christianity isn’t supposed to appeal to a secular crowd, it’s supposed to offend them. If you can preach the Gospel and your message appeals to a gay man, a transgender person, an atheist, and a woman who gets abortions, then you aren’t preaching the Gospel.

If it wasn’t obvious enough that this ad was nothing more than Leftist propaganda cloaked as Christianity, consider heading to the “He Gets Us” website.

The very first thing they have displayed on their homepage is a message that reads:

“How did the story of Jesus, the world’s greatest love story, get twisted into a tool to judge, harm, and divide? How do we remind people the story of Jesus belongs to everyone? These questions are the beating heart of He Gets Us.

In their FAQs, one question reads “What is your stance on the LGBTQ+ community?” Their response was,

“Jesus loves gay people and Jesus loves trans people. The LGBTQ+ community, like all people, is invited to explore the story of Jesus and consider his example of unconditional love, grace, and forgiveness of others. No matter who you are, YOU are invited to explore the story of Jesus and consider what it means for your life.”

The appropriate answer to that question would have been 1 Corinthians 6:9-11:

“Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”

In short, you will go to Hell. But God sent his only son to die on the Cross to redeem you and save you from eternal damnation

Additionally, the website is filled with articles that look like CNN published them. Here are just a few of them: How did Jesus step over barriers of race, gender, and stigma on the side of the road?”; “Jesus was exclusively inclusive.”; “Jesus overcame bias, too”; and “Four Ways Jesus Supported Women’s Equality”. 

He Gets Us– yes, but he also changes us, calls us to repent and turn away from our sin– which they make no mention of anywhere on their website. “Go and sin no more.” – John 8:11

The bottom line is that the advertisement was blasphemous. The people behind He Gets Us had an opportunity to tell the truth about Jesus and salvation to hundreds of millions of people. Instead, they chose to lie to millions of people and portray Jesus in a way that fits a secular and woke narrative.

Christians who defended the ad are exactly part of the problem. Many Christians today have become much more concerned with offending man than offending God, so they distort the truth and water down the Gospel– and that is how we ended up as a country that doesn’t dare to mock the Muslims or the Jews, but one that openly mocks Jesus and Christianity.

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.” – Ephesians 6:13-15

Christians, it’s time to wake up.

The open border policies of Joe Biden and his henchman Alejandro Mayorkas have benefited China, among other global bad actors, while wreaking havoc on the United States. 

Under the leadership of Mayorkas and Biden, the United States has seen at least 5.6 million migrant encounters, 2.1 million illegals released into our country, 1.5 million known gotaways, and 250 terrorist watch-list encounters— astronomical numbers that we never saw under President Trump or even Obama.

Under the watch of Biden and Mayorkas, DHS and the federal government fired medical workers during a supposed pandemic. They’ve fired truckers in a supply chain crisis. They’ve fired police officers in a violent crime crisis. They’ve terminated Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy, stopped border wall construction, and restricted the U.S. CBP’s ability to detain, make arrests, and remove illegal aliens during an invasion and fentanyl crisis.

Last month, during a Homeland Security hearing, Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) said that “Chinese Nationals, many of whom are military-aged men” with ties to the Chinese Communist Party, have crossed our Southern border and have been released into the United States.

“We have no idea who these people are, and it’s very likely that China is doing the same thing in the United States using Russia’s template of sending military personnel into Ukraine,” said Green.

From October 2022 through April 2023, nearly 10,000 Chinese migrants were encountered at the border– up 354% from the last fiscal year from October 2021 to September 2022, where less than 2,200 Chinese migrants were encountered.

Chinese nationals that come into our country through our Southern border are granted asylum at a very high rate- 58% to be exact. Compare that to the average of 10% for asylum seekers from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.

China no longer needs to operate intelligence operations abroad when they can do it right here at home. They have full access to our country through the 384,000 acres of farmland they have purchased, the police stations they have established on our soil, and through our Southern border.

While the CCP blatantly disregards American laws and privacy, they also disregard American life. China is the world’s number one producer and trafficker of fentanyl – the number one killer of Americans aged 18-45. They are bringing it across our borders and killing our people.

Fentanyl, combined with a laundry list of other designer drugs, is killing more Americans annually than the entire Vietnam War. 

China has undermined U.S. national security, and now they have undermined U.S. intelligence by using the American recreational drug culture to wage war on our country from the inside out. The days of China being a threat abroad are behind us. The threat is already here, at our Southern border, and in our country.

China is a Foreign Fentanyl Trafficker, and it’s time the United States impose sanctions.

In recent years, Communist China’s assertive actions and growing influence on the global stage have raised serious concerns about its hostility towards the United States. As China’s geopolitical influence begins to expand, so do our circumstances.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said, “The greatest long-term threat to our nation’s information and intellectual property, and our economic vitality, is the counterintelligence and economic espionage threat from China.”

He’s right, yet the FBI, the DOJ, the Department of Defense, and even the President of the United States have sat back and allowed China to run the show– behavior that would have never been tolerated under President Trump.

In recent months and years, very alarming and aggressive actions have occurred on China’s behalf. China has sent a spy balloon over our airspace– conveniently over one of the largest nuclear arsenals in the U.S. and was able to gather intelligence from several sensitive American military sites.

Thankfully, the U.S. military could shoot down the balloon after it was done spying.

Despite the United States not having an extradition  agreement with China, they also have established police stations on American soil to “monitor Chinese citizens living in the United States.”

Just last month, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) sent a Chinese warship to harass a U.S. Destroyer in the Taiwan Strait, and they have even threatened the use of nuclear weapons against the United States if we do not stay away from Taiwan.

National security adviser Jake Sullivan said that over the last two years, at various points in the Russo-Ukrainian War, when we have witnessed nuclear threats we have known how to address them because we have decades of atomic risk reduction, strategic arms control, and essential signaling experience with the Russians.

We do not have this with China, which is unsettling and destabilizing.

Additionally, China has bought up 384,000 acres of farmland– including land in North Dakota that is just a stone’s throw away from some of our high-capability military bases. They have begun negotiations with Cuba to establish a new joint military training facility on the island – which is roughly just 90 miles from Florida and have rapidly grown their presence in South America. They’ve been colonizing, and continue to occupy, parts of Africa while establishing military bases there.

China has also escalated the U.S. Tech War by banning Micron over “security and privacy concerns”. They have raided U.S. businesses in China and arrested workers, expanded their spy network in Mexico and, over the years, they have tenaciously increased their presence in Central America and the Caribbean through what is part of their Belt and Road Initiative (B.R.I.).

The B.R.I. is a global infrastructure development strategy that seeks to connect China with the rest of the world– but in reality, it’s just a calculated expansion of their influence and an attempt by China to isolate Taiwan.

Cuba is the most recent country to join China’s B.R.I. Jamaica and six other island nations in the Caribbean joined in 2019, and Costa Rica in 2018.

The list goes on and continues to grow exponentially. The CCP has a blatant disregard and disrespect for the United States and continues to mock us by violating American rules and privacy through their belligerent and aggressive behavior.

China’s aggression is the direct consequence of electing a President whose son has done shady business dealings with them. The Hunter Biden laptop story is already criminal enough, but whatever blackmail the Chinese government has on the Biden crime family indicates that it blows the laptop story out of the water.

In efforts to do damage control to prevent something that is most likely illegal and horrifying from surfacing, the Biden Administration has allowed China to do whatever it is they want.

While some members of the Biden Administration have called for talks with China to establish peace and de-escalation, China is past the talking stage. With the amount of power and influence China has obtained in such a short time, we are at their mercy, not the other way around.
