A Suffolk County man was charged Monday for allegedly using an ax to dismember and dispose of a woman’s body.

Newsday reported Gary Cowell, a 72-year-old black man, pleaded not guilty to felonious concealment of a human corpse and tampering with physical evidence for the moments leading up to the death of 56-year-old Yvette Leonard, both of Patchogue, New York.

“Rather than attempt to render aid to her, rather than call for medical assistance or call the police, [Cowell] took an ax and butchered Ms. Leonard into four pieces,” Assistant Suffolk County District Attorney Kieran Rogers told Justice Anthony Senft.

According to law enforcement officials, the remains were found on Montauk Highway in East Patchogue. Cowell confessed to using the ax and showed law enforcement the whereabouts of the remains.

ADA Rogers alleges Cowell intended to slow detectives amid a “massive widespread investigation” into Leonard’s location. He believes Cowell was with Leonard when she died — between June 14 and 21. Newsday reported officials are still unsure how she exactly died.

Cowell is represented by Commack-based attorney Jeremy Scileppi, who argued that Cowell did not hinder the investigation but “told a consistent story with respect to what happened.”

Concerning Leonard’s discovery, her mother, Nancy Davis, told Newsday she utilized social media after her daughter’s roommate discovered Leonard was missing. When she found her cigarettes and an uncashed check inside her home, she knew, “I don’t think she’s alive.”

Justice Senft retained bail for Cowell at $1 million cash bail, $2 million bond, or $10 million partially secured bond, reported Newsday. Cowell faces life in prison as a repeated felony offender. He has four felonies and two misdemeanors, said the prosecutor. Additionally, state prison records indicate Cowell served 15 years for robbery and burglary between 1991 and 2013.

Trump’s Being Trump, Ignores Gag Order Again https://nationalfile.com/trumps-being-trump-ignores-gag-order-again/ Thu, 18 Apr 2024 15:02:09 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=68998 Last Updated on April 18, 2024

Former President Donald Trump slammed a prospective juror during his first criminal trial, ignoring the gag order limiting him from public statements.

Trump posted on Truth Social a quote from Fox News’s Jesse Watters: “They are catching undercover Liberal Activists lying to the Judge in order to get on the Trump jury.”

Donald Trump’s recent post on Truth Social landed him in some hot water.

The Hill reported that Trump’s gag order, imposed by Judge Juan Merchan, bars him from “making or directing order to make public statements about any prospective juror or any juror in this criminal proceeding.” The gag also bars him from speaking out against prosecutors, too. It’s a mechanism to limit inflammatory social media posts and attacks in court and their families. Nonetheless, both Democrats — Judge Merchan and District Attorney Alvin Bragg — are up for game.

Such a move by prosecutors is a bit much, but typically, the defendant does not make comments publicly, at least during the proceeding, regardless if it is even during jury selection or pretrial. Conferring is left between defendants and attorneys, prosecutors and the rest with the judge, excluding the defendant.

The former president has always been outspoken, so this gag order has only produced added pressure.

Assistant District Attorney Chris Conroy had already demanded $1,000 fines for each of Trump’s previous three posts on Truth Social that allegedly referenced a witness, reported The Hill. Judge Merchan never committed to breaking the court proceeding, so the fines went nowhere.

The three posts on Truth Social were Trump thanking Michael Avenatti, Stormy Daniel’s former attorney, for “revealing the truth about two sleazebags who have, with their lies and misrepresentation, cost our Country dearly.” The second was an alleged statement from Daniels stating she did not have an affair with Trump. And the third, according to The Hill, was Trump referring to his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, as a “disgraced attorney and felon … prosecuted for lying.” In that same post, he suggested Mark Pomerantz, a former Manhattan prosecutor who once oversaw the case, should be “prosecuted for his terrible acts in and out of the D.A.’s Office.”

Knowing he really can’t keep to himself, the former president appealed the gag order under the grounds of his First Amendment rights. However, it still remains in effect. A mid-level New York appeals court declined it, but a full five-panel has yet to decide.

The jury selection will continue Thursday after Judge Merchan has dismissed several for “cause” based upon social media posts showing a bias against Trump. According to The Hill, seven out of 12 jurors have been selected. Judge Merchan hopes to begin on Monday with opening statements.

Long Island Rep. D’Esposito’s New Bill Criminalizes Anti-Zionism Through IHRA’s ‘Working Definition’ https://nationalfile.com/long-island-rep-despositos-new-bill-criminalizes-anti-zionism-through-ihras-working-definition/ Fri, 12 Apr 2024 21:28:35 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=68923 Last Updated on April 12, 2024

Long Island Republican Rep. Anthony D’Esposito introduced a bill that would include the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) “working definition” of antisemitism to federal civil rights laws, effectively curbing free speech.

The bill titled “Define to Defeat Act” is said to provide Jewish Americans “the same protection against discrimination as everyone else,” according to D’Esposito’s main webpage. The bill, however, enlists entitlements beyond what is seemingly constitutional while prohibiting anti-Zionist or speech critical of Israel.

D’Esposito is one of many in Congress who has received funding from AIPAC, at $69,000, while serving the people of NY-04. His agenda seems to be unsurprisingly right on par with the Israel Lobby.

The act will “clarify” existing laws to widen civil rights obligations relating to hate crimes. D’Esposito’s presser states, “The legislation would provide federal officials with an objective, contemporary definition of antisemitism, better helping them to assess and prosecute criminal and discriminatory incidents motivated by antisemitism.”

D’Espositio said in the release:

Following the October 7 attacks on Israel, Jews around the world, including in America and New York, endured and continue to endure record-breaking levels of antisemitic attacks and hate. My legislation would provide federal officials the tools they need to fully assess, investigate, and prosecute this criminal behavior.

The Define to Defeat Act does not create a new law or a protected class but only widens the lens through which federal officials can act upon existing civil rights obligations to crimes motivated by bias and hate.

The press release also states that it was a much-needed act since “criminal antisemitic actors” would exercise “loopholes in the laws, such as falsely claiming their attack on Jewish institutions, individuals, or points of Jewish collective identity were motivated by ‘anti-Israel’ sentiment.”

The IHRA’s “working definition” is fairly encompassing and includes anti-Zionism. This conflating of anti-Zionism with antisemitism has been a crutch for the pro-Israel lobby to rely on, particularly as support for Israel drops, according to Gallup. The IHRA’s “working definition” reads:

Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.

The IHRA provides examples of manifestations, including the “targeting of the state of Israel, conceived as a Jewish collectivity.” It also stated, “Antisemitism frequently charges Jews with conspiring to harm humanity, and it is often used to blame Jews for ‘why things go wrong.’ It is expressed in speech, writing visual forms and actions, and employs sinister stereotypes and negative character traits.”

Here are the examples listed by the IHRA.

The bill is an advent of pure, unadulterated abuse by AIPAC and other Jewish interest groups. D’Esposito is a relatively new congressman and may fail to understand the repercussions of legislating such an unconstitutional bill. This maneuver would severe free speech and cut off all criticism of Israel, reserving US foreign interests solely as pro-Israel.

Matt Walsh: ‘Bow Before Israel (unless you’re an anti-Semite)!’

The Roman Catholic police officer, who served as a “remarkable” councilman for Island Park, NY, may have fallen prey to the Lobby’s narratives. The secular state of Israel is not the one of the Bible, nor is it America’s “greatest ally.” Recall that the Catholic pope, St. Pius, refused to acknowledge Zionism and the state of Israel at its onset. D’Esposito missed that mark, but he also stood with former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, which may have provided some establishment drippage on his entry into Congress.

No Bail for NY Man Charged in Dismemberment Murder https://nationalfile.com/no-bail-for-ny-man-charged-in-dismemberment-murder/ Tue, 12 Mar 2024 00:14:25 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=68011 Last Updated on March 11, 2024

New York’s bail reform releases another perp suspected of killing and dismembering a man amid Democrats’ attempts to curb the state’s violent crime.

Sheldon Johnson, 48, is charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon, according to a report by ABC7. Human remains — a torso and arms — were discovered inside Johnson’s Bronx apartment on Tuesday night.

“I’m innocent,” he shouted as being taken in custody.

Police said the suspect is an ex-convict who is also a staunch advocate of criminal justice reform — in fact, he appeared on “The Joe Rogan Experience” discussing his prior 50-year sentence.

Police reportedly made the stomach-turning discovery when authorities were alerted to a wellness check at 979 Summit Avenue in the Highbridge section.

The building’s superintendent, Orlando Medina, told ABC7, “Someone was pleading for their life. She said she heard two gunshots; someone saying, ‘Please don’t kill me. I got family,’ something like that and two more gunshots pretty quickly.”

The suspect was seen on surveillance footage coming out of the apartment wearing wigs and different articles of clothing while carrying bags. Police said they obtained additional footage of Johnson leaving the victim’s apartment, wearing his clothing.

The suspect is shown wearing different wigs and clothing while transporting bags from his apartment.

On Wednesday night, the police obtained a warrant for Johnson’s apartment in Harlem, where they discovered legs and a head in the freezer, reported ABC7. The victim was later identified as 44-year-old Collin Small, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

The Medical Examiner’s Office’s findings eventually led to the murder charge, according to police. Concrete was also found in Johson’s car, along with a Tyvek suit.

Johnson had served almost 25 years of his 1999 50-year sentence for attempted murder, robbery and other charges. On the JRE, he spoke to Rogan about how he had turned things around:

It was at that moment that I really said — I have to change my life — I have to change my life — I just can’t do this … I had a wife, I had kids, I had family still, my son was growing up — he was hearing stories of my so-called notoriety — I just didn’t want to be that dad.

Johnson admitted on the podcast that he was a former Bloods gang member and was “the top of the food chain” but had chosen to depart from that way of life. Since his release, he has been working as a counselor at the Queens public defender’s office.

Four Suspected of Killing and Dismembering Human Corpses Released on NY Bail Reform

Johnson, who proclaims himself to be “a product of intergenerational incarceration,” was arraigned on Thursday night with much support in attendance. One even sported a jacket emblazed with “specializing in wrongful conviction arrests.”

A group of four were charged with concealing a corpse and tampering with evidence relating to the finding of body parts of a man and a woman in a Long Island park. The individuals were released without bail Wednesday in accordance with New York State’s 2019 bail reform.

Newsday reported Steven Brown, 44, Amanda Wallace, 40, Jeffrey Mackey, 38, and Alexis Nieves, 33, were charged with a series of felonies, including first-degree hindering prosecution, tampering with physical evidence by concealing or destroying, and concealment of a corpse.

The charging documents state that the suspects attempted to get rid of “sharp instruments, multiple body parts and other related items and dispose[d] of them so conceal the crime of murder in the second degree.”

Suffolk County Police noted that the victims were a 53-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman. Their body parts were discovered in Babylon, West Babylon and Bethpage State Park.

Newsday reported Suffolk homicide detectives stated the alleged perps “did conceal, alter and destroy human body parts,” and the “dismembered body parts were removed” and “concealed at multiple known locations.”

The remains were found in Old Bethpage, West Babylon and Babylon. (Courtesy Newsday)

During the arraignments, Suffolk Assistant District Attorney Frank Schroeder of the Homicide Bureau said they have a wealth of evidence, including the remains, butcher knives, meat cleavers, traces of blood and surveillance video.

However, all suspects were released without bail due to the state’s bail reform, making the crimes bail-ineligible. The suspects were ordered not to leave Suffolk County, report to weekly probation, surrender passports and wear GPS monitoring, reported Newsday.

On Good Day New York, New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul responded to the release, claiming the problem was not the new laws but the prosecution:

Maybe the DA should’ve done a more thorough investigation and brought murder charges or conspiracy to commit murder or even assault charges because all of them are bail-eligible. … I encouraged the DA’s office to go back and build your case … if you bring any of those charges, which I think would be appropriate … Those people would not be out on the street.

Republican Suffolk Country District Attorney Ray Tierney rebutted Hochul and railed the state’s bail reform, stating, “… charges relating to the mutilation and disposal of murdered corpses are no longer bail-eligible, meaning my prosecutors cannot ask for bail.”

Suffolk police reportedly believe the remains found at Bethpage State Park and West Babylon belong to the persons whose limbs were found the week prior at Babylon’s Southard Pond Park.

The media downplayed and often neglected to attribute the release of the suspected murderers to the state’s bail reform.

Many residents of Long Island fail to understand why these suspects were released. The cashless bail laws instituted in 2019 are rather rigid and arguably favor the criminal or, at the very least, make the prosecutor’s job more difficult. Under these reform laws, the aforementioned charges, including mutilation and disposal of murdered corpses, are not bail-eligible, making prosecutors unable to request bail.

America First Michigan state Rep. Joshua Schriver told National File:

[The situation] reminds me of the Dark Knight Rises when all the prisoners are released into the streets while Batman is working his way back to Gotham as he recovers from his broken back in the pit in the desert.

He added, “A natural byproduct of fear and hopelessness is one of the intentions behind why this all is being allowed to happen.”

The fault ultimately lies with the New York Democratic legislators who put these “progressive” laws in place. But for now, Long Islanders fear for the safety of their home — the suburbs.

New York GOP Flops with Pilip, Suozzi Victorious https://nationalfile.com/new-york-gop-flops-with-pilip-suozzi-victorious/ Thu, 15 Feb 2024 16:10:52 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=67146 Last Updated on February 15, 2024

Democrats seized New York’s 3rd Congressional District after the New York GOP propped up and spent millions on IDF veteran, dual citizen and registered-Democrat, Mazi Melesa Pilip.

Moderate Democrat, former and soon-to-be Rep. Tom Suozzi will now fill the seat of former Republican Rep. George Santos. The victory was with ease for the Roman Catholic Democrat in a district that voted for President Biden in 2020 by 8 points, according to The Hill.

The race was considered vital for Republicans to maintain control of the House after neoconservative Long Island reps backed the Israeli-Zionist Pilip. Pilip put up a weak campaign, constantly second-guessing herself and, during the debates, fueling the fire more with emotional outbursts.

Local constituents acknowledged her very apparent flaws, with some deciding to abstain from voting. Older generations, primarily on the side of Pilip, were also put in a tailspin after the island’s snowfall. Residents saw it as not worth trekking to the ballot for a candidate they didn’t connect with.

Democrats utilize voting early or by mail, while Republicans, still in the past, depend on votes in person on Election Day. The nor’easter that rattled the island brought out that disadvantage.

Santos is only the sixth person in U.S. history to be expelled from the House.

Democrats had a real opportunity to give it to the GOP after the ousting of former congressman Santos. Santos had originally won in 2022 in an upset but was later expelled after an ethics probe concerning the falsification of his background and possible outstanding criminal charges.

Pilip, a little-known county legislator, really didn’t stand a chance against Suozzi, who had local name recognition for his work as that district’s congressman. The Hill reported that Democrats outspent the GOP in this race, raising Pilip over three times in the final quarter of 2023.

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas testifies before a Homeland Security Committee hearing before his impeachment.

Now, because of the Democrat victory, they can focus more on the presidential primaries and have a boost in confidence. The Republicans cannot do the same, as the majority will be slimmer at 219-212 with four vacated seats. This means only two members can dissent for a vote to pass. The Hill referenced the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandra Mayorkas as an example, which only passed by one vote.

The New York 3rd District is among five in the state that will decide the control of the House this November. All of these five voted for Biden in 2020 but elected Republican representation two years later. So, here is an opportunity for Democrats to really make their mark, as Suozzi will be an incumbent.

Pilip and former Rep. Suozzi battled over NY-03, leading to the Democrat’s victory.

National Republican Campaign Committee chair, Rep. Richard Hudson (N.C.), tried to mitigate the loss by telling The Hill:

Joe Biden won this district by 8 points, Democrats outspent Republicans two-to-one, and our Democrat opponent spent decades representing these New Yorkers — yet it was still a dogfight. Republicans still have multiple pathways to grow our majority in November.

Such a statement takes no accountability for Republicans’ poor choice, waste of money and blatant deception behind propping up a Democrat.

The Hill argues that the GOP’s messaging, particularly on immigration, was insufficient for the win. Pilip’s whole campaign, although latently dedicated to her identity, was a simple message: stop illegal immigration. But did the GOP really believe an Ethiopian-Israeli could convey such a message, especially to Long Island’s Republican demographic?

Interestingly, most voters considered immigration to be a significant part of their vote, according to an Emerson College poll. That same poll found that voters had more faith in Pilip than Suozzi on the issue.

In turn, Republicans constantly attacked Suozzi on immigration, referring to him as “Sanctuary Suozzi.” The former congressman’s track record on immigration is similar to other moderate Democrats, although he had acknowledged the problem during his last time in office, according to various reports, including from Newsday.

Pilip has never demonstrated herself “on the field” as much of a defender of the borders. People may have seen through the GOP’s bombastic rhetoric and essentially downplayed her ability because of it. On the other hand, Suozzi appropriately fended off the accusations and promised to work with both sides–something that appeared farfetched for the Republican candidate. Whether the former congressman comes through on his promises is another question.

After his victory in the special election, former Rep. Suozzi spoke in Woodbury, NY.

What is also noteworthy in this special election is the vast Democrat voter turnout. For instance, a Decision Desk HQ reported late Tuesday that Suozzi was in the lead by almost 8 points, with more than 93% of votes counted. Reportedly, Suozzi received above 60% of the vote in Queens, which is 15% above the 2022 Democrat nominee, Robert Zimmerman. It is also 8% above Santos’ victory. This thrust in Democrat action has implications for the 2024 presidential election.

Another factor to recognize in this election was the two parties’ manners in voting. Democrats utilize voting early or by mail, while Republicans, still in the past, depend on votes in person on Election Day. The nor’easter that rattled the island brought out that disadvantage.

“None of These Candidates” Defeats Nikki Haley In Nevada

Ultimately, the New York GOP failed in its tactics, PR, its choice to nominate a pro-choice Democrat and lastly and commonly omitted by the media, hoisting the ideology of Zionism above conservatism.

Abbott Cripples New York with Another 30,000 Migrants https://nationalfile.com/abbott-cripples-new-york-with-another-30000-migrants/ Fri, 15 Dec 2023 20:06:47 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=65472 Last Updated on December 15, 2023

The antics of Republicans to test Democrats’ promise of “sanctuary cities” continues, as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced on X that he began busing more than 28,200 migrants to New York and another 49,800 to other cities across the nation.

GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) also has played a part in shipping migrantspossibly including a convicted child rapistto Martha’s Vineyard. Neither of the two Republican governors seem to realize the repercussions of their actions, as migrants are typically relocated out of these major cities into the suburbs.

According to Axios, Abbott has spent $86.1 million between April 2022 and October 2023. That is nearly $1,650 per migrant. The same report notes that more than 66,000 migrants have been shuttled from Texas deeper into the states.

The Texas governor’s actions have trickled down, spreading migrants from these so-called sanctuary cities to the surrounding suburbs. Several counties across New York blocked Mayor Adams’ diverse delivery, prompting the New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU) to file suit. The New York counties affected were and continue to be predominantly red districts. Still, not one New York Republican has rebuked Abbott’s actions.

By looking at New York’s 21st Rep. Elise Stefanik’s X account, immigration doesn’t appear to be an outstanding issue. “Antisemitism,” or rather anti-Zionism, clearly weighs in as the top priority for the Roman Catholic. This week, she went toe-to-toe with America’s “elite” universities in the widely televised congressional hearings.

Meanwhile, in the southern across Long Island, Republicans are doing much of the same with a heavy hand in the politicking. Reps. Anthony D’Esposito, Andrew Garbarino and Nick LaLota have yet to condemn Abbott’s actions that almost allowed Adams to redirect migrants to the Town of Riverhead in eastern Long Island.

Luckily for these Republicans, Riverhead Township Supervisor Yvette Aguiar declared a state of emergency forbidding the housing of migrants within the town. Aguiar received heavy criticism from local Democrats but was supported by her congressman, Nick LaLota. She, however, is reportedly resigning from her position, leaving Riverhead as a possible dumping ground for Adams.

New York is not the only city that will be receiving migrants from Abbott, as over 12,500 will go to DC, 23,400 to Chicago, 3,200 to Philadelphia, 9,500 to Denver and 1,200 to Los Angeles. All cities are liberal hotbeds, considered to be sanctuary cities.

According to Crain’s Chicago Business, some Chicago suburbs turned away “busloads of migrants” just this past week. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, a Democrat, still embraces his city’s sanctuary status but plans to sue any companies transporting “rogue buses” of migrants into Chicago.

A caravan of Central American migrants travel across Mexico into the U.S. (David McNew/Getty Images)

As for Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love has experienced a severe demographic change since the 90s. The Brookings Institute noted that the immigrant suburban population has already outpaced the city, with nearly 60% of foreign-born living in Philadelphia.

Denver has taken its hits too, particularly this year, as almost 30,000 migrants entered from the southern border, according to NBC News. Surrounding suburbs, like the aforementioned, pushed back against Denver Mayor Michael Johnston’s attempts to harbor the migrants. One commissioner even passed a resolution for Denver to renounce its sanctuary status. Other affected suburbs appear poised to do the same.

Democrats Use Migrant Crisis to Urbanize Long Island, Change Demographics

For Los Angeles, officials claim they haven’t seen an increase in migration. Already, the city hosts over 4.4 million immigrants, with nearly half undocumented, according to the Vera Institute of Justice. The state also has the largest population of non-citizens, with over 5.3 million.

Stubborn deep blue states may retain their sanctuary status, but with the pushback from neighboring suburbs, it doesn’t seem such a policy will likely last. Still, the bigger picture may be Republicans’ neglect of aiding in this drastic demographic change of America.

Rogue NY Conservative Party Chairman Endorses Dem Judicial Candidates over Republican Ones. https://nationalfile.com/rouge-ny-conservative-party-chairman-endorses-dem-judicial-candidates-over-republican-ones/ Wed, 01 Nov 2023 18:41:15 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=64228 Last Updated on November 4, 2023

Significant questions are arising from New York State as Westchester Conservative Party Chair Hugh Fox endorsed local Democrat judicial candidates over Republican judicial candidates. Worse, Westchester Conservative Party members who attended the Westchester Conservative Party Nominating Convention feel that Chairman Fox stole their vote. Local Westchester Republican judicial candidates John Sarcone (R-Croton-on-Hudson), Judge Karen Ostberg (R-Minisink), Judge Susan Sullivan and Attorney John Ciampoli are expected to face a close election. Local sources tell NationalFile that Fox’s endorsement of Democrat candidates could swing between 12-20k votes the Democrats’ way.

Westchester Party Conservative members sued Chairman Fox after it was announced that the organization was endorsing Democrat judicial candidates. Members of the West Chester Conservative Party informed local media that the convention to endorse candidates was hectic. No official press statement or results were released following the convention’s nominating process.

After hearing the convention horror stories, Judge Marcelle, who oversaw the lawsuit, wrote, “The court finds that the convention never voted on a committee to fill vacancies. Rather, Fox took it upon himself, post-convention, to insert into the minutes and the certificate of nomination a fabrication that the convention properly created a committee to fill vacancies.”

Despite this ruling, local sources tell NationalFile that the Westchester County Conservative Party is sending out mailers and putting up billboards instructing their members to vote for the Democrat slate of judges.

One of the judicial candidates Chairman Fox endorsed, Francesca E. Connolly, is endorsed by almost all local Democrat clubs in and around West Chester County. Connolly also proudly displays photos of her attending Democrat events on her website.

Local West Chester area activists tell NationalFile that center-right leaning and independent voters should ignore Chairman Fox’s wishes and vote for John Sarcone, Karen Ostberg , Susan Sullivan and John Ciampoli in the upcoming New York State judicial election.

Back Room Uni-Party Deal Brings Mega Casinos to Long Island https://nationalfile.com/back-room-uni-party-deal-brings-mega-casinos-to-long-island/ Thu, 25 May 2023 21:06:43 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=60075 Last Updated on May 25, 2023

The county legislature of Nassau County New York, a purple suburban county on Long Island, unanimously approved a deal to bring mega casinos to Long Island. The deal is being called out by many as a corrupt bargain.

Nassau County New York, is a dense suburban county of New York City in Long Island and home to over a million people. The county is mostly middle-class Americana suburbs, with its north shore being home to stunning affluent communities nestled on the Long Island Sound, like Oyster Bay.

While in recent memory Nassau was a narrowly Democrat county, the tables have turned with Nassau turning into a red county with a Republican County Executive and two Republican congressmen and went solidly red for Congressman Lee Zeldin (R-NY) during his governor bid.

Yet, The Nassau County legislature undermined the will of its voters this week by approving a plan to transfer a Las Vegas casino to Nassau County, turning Uniondale into a new Vegas. This measure was widely opposed by local citizens, concerned that the casino would ruin the suburban feel of the area and bring degeneracy to their neighborhoods.

Local concern also includes that a casino would bring gambling problems and crime to their quaint suburb. Many have speculated that there is a financial incentive for different officials for bringing the casinos to Nassau.

Kathy Hochul has pushed the expansion of Casinos in New York, which has been exposed as graft due to her family ties to Delaware North a Buffalo-based casino and hospitality service. Hochul has been accused of making money off of her casino expansion through the Delaware North group.

Further, Robert Zimmerman (D Oyster Bay), who was Congressman George Santos’ (R-03) Democrat opponent, connected to the Nassau county establishment, has been exposed as aiding the casino effort with Nassau’s Republican establishment in a potential corruption scandal.

Santos, an America First congressman from Long Islands North Shore has called out the casino deal as a corruption scandal, also calling out County Executive Bruce Blakeman (R-Valley Stream) for going through with the deal, calling it corrupt.

Santos also stated the other day about the casino deal that, “The CORRUPT UNIPARTY of  Nassau County sold out its residents to the highest bidder”.

Hochul is expected to approve the casino license bringing this controversial casino to Long Island.

New York Judge Blocks Eric Adams Busing Illegals to Red County https://nationalfile.com/new-york-judge-blocks-eric-adams-busing-illegals-to-red-county/ Wed, 17 May 2023 23:33:53 +0000 https://nationalfile.com/?p=59911 Last Updated on May 17, 2023

A Judge in Orange County, NY has approved a lawsuit from county executive Stephen Neuhaus blocking illegal aliens from staying in the county after a hotel in Newburgh kicked out homeless veterans and American customers to house them.

This morning, a judge in Orange County New York approved a temporary restraining order preventing New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D- Brooklyn) from sending newly arrived illegal aliens to the county.

Orange County is a bucolic red county in New York’s Hudson Valley, famous for being the home of West Point. About an hour and a half north of New York City, Eric Adams made Orange County a target of his for the relocation of illegals.

Adams had already bussed 186 illegals into Orange County and intends to send more into Orange as well as other Hudson Valley Counties.  Orange County Executive Stephen Neuhaus (R-Chester) responded to the influx of illegals by issuing a state of emergency and filing a lawsuit against the Adams administration stopping them from sending the illegals to Orange County.

Today a judge approved Neuhaus’ lawsuit putting a restraining order on Adams from sending the illegals to Orange County. Neuhaus, a conservative veteran has consistently been a fighter for the Hudson Valley and has stood up for Orange County on numerous occasions

This comes after a hotel in Newburgh kicked out American veterans and American customers to make room for the illegal aliens, creating a national scandal.

It is unclear how Adams will respond to this, but he will more than likely fight the restraining order and attempt to send more illegals to Orange County as he continues to force New York City’s illegal problem on the Hudson Valley.

Unfortunately, in what is increasingly being seen as a political stunt that badly backfired on the entire country, most of the illegal aliens being pushed into red New York State have been bused to New York City by Texas GOP Governor Greg Abbott. In a stunt effort to make Democrat mayors far from the southern border feel the pain of border cities faced with an onslaught of illegal aliens, Abbott effectively aided busloads of illegal aliens in penetrating the interior of the United States.
